Although autumn color is not what most people automatically think of when they think of the southwest, this photo was taken in an area in southeastern Arizona. Thanks to the golden sycamores across a background of verdant oaks (which do not change color in the fall), people flock from all over the state to see this display of color. The photo was taken at The Nature Conservancy's Ramsey Canyon Preserve, located in southeastern Arizona which was my home for about a year while I was working for TNC.
